Founded in 1840, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this is one of the oldest surviving public cemetery/parks in the U.S.

Rose Hill is a haven for bird lovers and historians. Beautiful terraced hills overlook the Ocmulgee River. Many famous Macon citizens are interred here, including Southern Rock 'n' Roll legend Duane Allman and some 600 Civil War soldiers.

Open daily until sunset. Self-guided tour.
