The Fire Department currently contains 18 firehouses in the central Georgia Area with 346 firefighting personnel. Our firefighting personnel are certified as First Responders, including over 150 certified EMTs and Paramedics. We also have certified Hazardous Material Technicians and Scuba Divers.

In May 1998, a merger with two other Macon hospitals, Middle Georgia and Macon Northside Hospitals, now provides our community better access and choice of quality healthcare facilities.
Being named one of the top 100 hospitals in the United States and committed to meeting the needs of the areas of our community, The Medical Center has taken healthcare to the patient. The Neighborhood Healthcare Centers, located in East, North and South Macon, are places where people can learn about and take charge of their health. Staffed by registered nurses, the Centers offer preventive and diagnostic health screenings and educational programs. When needed, a physician is available for consultation.
