Adults often say they know what teens want, but the only way to know is to ask the teens. That's why the city of Macon has formed the Mayor's Youth Advisory Council (MYAC). Through MYAC, young people are involved in making recommendations to the Mayor's office on issues, concerns and goals as they relate to the children and youth of the city of Macon.

Mission Statement
The mission of MYAC is to provide the opportunity for youth to become involved in social and political processes so that they may develop leadership, a sense of personal achievement, and an understanding of government.

Requirements for MYAC
Participants must be students of Bibb County public or private schools between 12-19 years of age. Join MYAC click here to fill out our online membership form.

For more information on MYAC, please check out our site.
