The Traffic Maintenance Operations (formerly Signs & Markings Function) is responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of all city owned traffic control signs and markings in the City of Macon according to the standards set forth by the Manual On Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), federal, state and local governing agencies. This Function is also responsible for the marking of City vehicles as well as the painting of City roadways, parking lots, basketball courts, tennis courts, volleyball courts, and airport runways and taxi lines. This Function also has the responsibility of fabricating signs for all City Departments as well as other governmental agencies and non-profit organizations.
