The
Coliseum is Macon’s multi-purpose public assembly
facility, seating over 9,000 people and with
42,207 square feet of exhibit floor space. It
is host to a wide variety of events, including
conventions, concerts, trade & consumer shows,
rodeos, circuses, college and high school basketball
games and wrestling matches.
The
Macon City Auditorium is located in historic
downtown and is listed as a historic landmark
on the National Register of Historic Places.
This unique facility, built in 1925, features
one of the largest copper domes in the world.
This facility serves as a more traditional and
elegant setting, hosting concerts, plays, private
parties, wedding receptions, large assemblies
and more. It seats nearly 2,700 people with
over 14,000 sq. ft of floor space.
The
Edgar H. Wilson Convention Centre is the state's
most accessible convention center. It has 102,000
gross sq. ft. of exhibit and meeting space.
The Exhibition Hall has 30,800 sq. ft. and is
contiguous with a 9,100 sq. ft. ballroom as
well as the 42,207 sq. ft. arena . In addition,
it can provide up to 18 meeting rooms for breakout
space. The facility hosts various types of conventions,
tradeshows, consumer shows, private parties
and sporting events.
