The Central Services Department consists of seven departmental budgets, sixty-two full-time approved positions.  It is the intent of the Central Services Department to provide specialized services to all City Departments as well as the general public.

Our purpose is to service all City owned and operated buildings and facilities as well as all City Departments with electrical, plumbing, hvac, and general maintenance.  These buildings and facilities include two airports, nineteen recreational facilities, one golf course, one Senior Citizen’s Center, one cemetery, fifty-six tennis courts, thirty-three ballfields, seven swimming pools, City Hall, Willie C. Hill Annex, Central City Park, Police Precinct/Team/Offices, Central Services Building, Cherry Blossom Building, Terminal Station, Public Works Buildings, as well as Vehicle Maintenance Building.

We also provide services through our Traffic Signal, Traffic Maintenance Operations and Electrical Functions to the general public, which include 367 intersections.  These intersections are comprised of signalized intersections, overhead flashers, reversible lane changers, school flashers, signs, markings, as well as street lighting.

We have licensed and certified skilled employees on board as required by the State of Georgia.
