The Administrative Function serves to govern all Functions (Custodial, Electrical, General Maintenance, HVAC-Plumbing, Traffic Maintenance Operations and Traffic Signals) of the Central Services Department.  One of our major objectives is to provide leadership in establishing and supporting standards of excellence in human resource management.

The Administrative Function provides administrative support for all Functions such as; payroll, purchasing, inventory control, warehouse operations, fleet management, custodial/ground maintenance of Central Services Building, financial budgeting, records maintenance, as well as receive and dispatch service request which are recorded and maintained in a computerized workorder system.  This Function also conducts surveys on street light requests and provides information to Georgia Power for approved installations ad we also notifies Georgia Power on outages (There are two different street lighting systems one is the Georgia Power leased and maintained that is primarily in the residential sections of the city; and then there is the City owned and maintained street lighting system that is basically in the downtown area, recreational areas, tennis courts, and the Interstate lighting.).   In addition this Function monitors and coordinates the dispatching of all trades to specific multi-trade jobs as well as any other administrative services.
